Monday, March 06, 2006 ::: HOME Boxes, from one house to another. Mom told me I shouldn't be collecting rubbish anymore, after moving in to the new house. Maybe I've always been afraid that when I throw away something that's a part of me gone. A familiar layout, an unfamiliar place. An interior left unchanged for almost 3 decades - Wall papers that peel. the sockets that's no longer legal by today's standards. the wooden doors that shriek whenever you close them. And that's rather amazing really. But it's starting to become familiar. My corner - that's my desk, my computer, my speakers, my books, my cup, my box of kleenex - it's rather cozy actually. Not bad. My little brother is actually checking out my iTunes 'most played' list. I looked at him with a happy grin. Maybe he's starting to appreciate my music bank. But I bet it could very well be pure curiosity that's going to be dismissed with a hint of indifference, just like the pack of clay he played with for his art lesson that looked interesting at first but became such cliche in his hands for a mere 15 minutes (Kids still get art lessons these days! can you believe that?! There's art lesson in Hong Kong! Gosh where did our creativity go...). And my obssession is still with Lorraine. The tunes are too good. Actually my brain kept playing 'I Feel It' for the whole day yesterday. It's nice to see Leigh Nash keep writing new music. Her new album should be ready in no time. 1/5 of Sixpence None the Richer is actually still good. She actually sounds like Sixpence all by herself. Check out her new songs here if you haven't already. "Along the Wall" is my new favorite. I've always wished they didn't split up. But hope is still around. Her music is too good to be true. Watched a little bit of Oscars. I have too much time, you ask? It's not a great show anymore, since Billy Crystal refused to be the host. :( But Reese won best actress, congrats to her! aweeee she and Ryan make such an adorable couple. They're both so lucky.
